EIR-79-6(b) RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION CERTIFYING AN EN VIRONPAENTAL IMPACT REPORT WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Chula Vista, Rayne Water Systems, and UOP/Fluid Systems requested the consideration of a General Plan Amendment involving 2.71 acres located south of "J" Street to the east of the mean high tide line to change the designation from "Open Space and Parks" to "Research and Limited Industrial," and WHEREAS, the Environmental Review Committee issued a draft environmental impact report, prepared by Westec Services, Inc., evaluating the proposed General Plan Amendment on September 16, 1982, and WHEREAS, legal notice of the availability of said draft environmental impact report for public review. was published and a notice of completion was filed with the Secretary of Resources for the State of California shortly thereafter, and WHEREAS, the draft environmental impact report was circulated to various ~I state agencies by the State Clearinghouse, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Chula Vista held public hearings on the adequacy of the draft environmental impact report on October 20, i 1982 and November 10, 1982, and WHEREAS, all comments on the draft environmental impact report and a response to those comments prepared by Westec Services, Inc „ were included in the report. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. From the facts presented to the Planning Commission, the Commission certifies that EIR-79-6(b) has been prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the State CEQA Guidelines and the City of Chula Vista's Environmental. Review Procedures, and further,. that the information in the docu- ment will he considered as the Planning Commission makes a decision on the proposed General Plan Amendment. PASSED AND APPROVED 6y the City Planning Commission of Chula Vista, California this 10th day of November, 1482, by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Commissioners Pressutti, Shipe, GreFn, O'Neill, G.
