HomeMy WebLinkAboutEIR 80-07 RESOLUTION N0. EIR-80-7 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION ~I CERTIFYING AIV ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT WHEREAS, Richard Kau, acting as an agent for Jimmie H. Shinohara and Helen N. Cushman, requested a General Plan amendment, rezoning and prezoning and annexation of property located easterly of I-805 to the north and south of ~i Otay Valley Road, and WHEREAS, the applicant requested eventual development of the property in it accordance with the Limited Industrial zone of the City of Chula Vista, and IdHEREAS, the Environmental Review Committee, after reviewing proposals for the preparation of draft ,and final environmental impact reports for the project, selected PRC Toups Corporation to prepare the documents, and ~ WHEREAS, on September 22, 1980 the Environmental Review Committee of the City of Chula Vista issued for public review the draft of EIR-80-7 on the Brandy- wine Industrial Park, and WHEREAS, legal notice of the availability of the draft environmental impact report was given through publication in a newspaper of general circulation on September 29, 1980 and a notice of completion was filed with the Secretary for Resources of the State of California, and WHEREAS, the applicant gave notice to the City that the portion of the project area located south of Otay Valley Road would no longer be part of the Brandywine Industrial Park, and therefore no annexation was requested, and WHEREAS, on October 2, 1980 the Environmental Review Committee determinedI that the environmental impact report was valid on the smaller scale project as ~I, proposed by the applicant, and WHEREAS, a public hearing on the adequacy of the draft environmental impact - ~ report was held on November 12 and December 10, 1980, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: From the facts presented to the Planning Commission, the Commission certifies that EIR-80-7 for the Brandywine Industrial Park has been prepared in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 and the Environmental Review Procedures of the City of Chula Vista, and that the Commission will review the information in the environmental impact report as it reaches a decision on the project. PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Planning Commission of Chula Vista, California this 10th day of December, 1980, by the following vote, to-wit: - _ AYES: Commissioners R.
