EIR-83-2(B) RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA PLANNING COMMISSION CERTIFYING SUPPLEMENTAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission and the City Council have previously certified Final EIR-83-2 on the proposed Amendment to the El Rancho del Rey Specific Plan and, WHEREAS, subsequent to that certification, new information pertaining to biological resources on the property was revealed, and WHEREAS, this was significant new information which could not be included in EIR-83-2, therefore, it was necessary to prepare a supplement to EIR-83-2, and WHEREAS, after reviewing proposals from various consultants for the preparation of the Environmental Impact Report, Michael Brandman and Associates was selected to prepare the documents, and WHEREAS, Michael Brandman and Associates prepared a Preliminary Draft of this Environmental Impact Report which was reviewed for adequacy and accuracy by the City of Chula Vista, and WHEREAS, the Draft Environmental Review Report was issued for Agency and public review on September 6, 1985, with a legal Notice of Availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Report for review being given through publication in a newspaper of general circulation and by notification of all adjoining property owners and filing a Notice of Completion with the Secretary for Resources of the State of California, and WHEREAS, on October 9, 1985, the Planning Commission of the City of Chula Vista held a public hearing regarding the adequacy of the Draft Environmental Impact Report, and WHEREAS, no written or verbal comments on the Draft EIR I necessitating a written response were received, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: From the facts presented to the Planning Commission, .the Commission finds that EIR-83-2(B) has been prepared in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the State CEQA Guidelines and the Environmental Procedures of the City of Chula Vista. PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Planning Commission of Chula Vista, California, this 9th day of October 1985 by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Commissioners Cannon, Carson, Grasser, Green, Guiles, Shipe and Tugenberg NOES: None ABSENT: None i iam annon, hairman ATTEST: Rut M.
