Having lived in the city for all of my life, and serving on the police department, I have a treat amount of knowledge regarding city history, processes, and politics. My service on the Safety Commission was very satisfying in that 1 could use my traffic, legal and investigative experience to help bring a different point of view to the public, members of staff and my fellow commissioners. What would you hope to accomplish by your participation?: I would like to brim that same knowledge, to the planning commission. I am known to visit sites, talk to persons, and "do my homework" before the commission meetings so that I do not have to simply rely on the staff reports and testimony from those present at the meeting. This way, 1 can be more educated to make the right decisions for all of the citizens and not just the select few that attend the meetings. I would very much appreciate consideration for the current opening and ask for an interview from the Council. Thank vou_ John M.
