RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
APPROVING AND ADOPTING AMENDMENT TO RULE II OF
RULES OF CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission hasheretofore recommended
on May 27, 1964, certain changes to said Rule II consisting of amended
Section ll~and Section 12 of said Rule II, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has recommended further modification
of said Section 11 and Section 12 of Rule II.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. Amended Sections 11 and 12, being a classification and com-
pensation plan and assigned rates of compensation for all classified
employees in the service of the City of Chula Vista, a true copy of
which is marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein as though here set
forth in-full, is hereby approved and ordered adopted effective as of
July 1, 1964.
2. Section 7 of Rule II is hereby amended to designate the
average work week of any full time fireman as being 67.2 hours rather
than the presently designated 72 hours.
3. The Rules and Regulations of the Civil Service Commission
and Rule II there of .are hereby ordered amended and modified by the /
amended Sections 11 and 12; referred to in Section 1 and amendment to I
Section 7 as referred to in Section 2.
4. The Personnel Officer is directed to cause such physical
changes as may be necessary to the said Rules and Regulations of the
Civil Service Commission to show the amendments to Rule II as ordered
by this Resolution.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the
CITY OF CHULA VISTA; CALIFORNIA; this '23rd day of June ,

Section 1. -Jurisdiction: This classification and compensation plan sha11'apply to all officer:
and employees in the classified service of the City of Chula Vista
whose compensation is not otherwise fixed by law.
