Motion carried INTRODUCTORY REMARKS: Read into the record by Chair ORAL COMMUNICATION: No public input CONSENT ITEMS: None PUBLIC HEARINGS: i 1.. Public Hearing: PCC 08-10; Consideration of a Conditional Use Permit to construct and operate a remodeled Corpus Christi Catholic Church, social hall, and a private school at 450 Corral Canyon Road. Applicant: Lord Architecture Background: Caroline Young, Project Manager, reported that the applicant submitted an application for a Conditional Use Permit, which consists of a Master Plan for the expansion of the existing Corpus Christi Catholic Church, The Plan consists of three phases of development to construct a social hall, an additional sanctuary, a K-8`h grade school, play field and associated improvements. Currently there is a sanctuary and pre-school on the site Staff Recommendation: That the Planning Commission 1.) Adopt Mitigated Negative Declaration IS 08-08; 2.) Adopt Resolution PCC 08-10, approving a Conditional Use Permit for a Master Plan for the existing Corpus Christi Catholic Church, which will consist of a Planning Commission Minutes -2- August 12, 2009 remodeled sanctuary, social hall, and school, based on the findings and subject to the conditions contained therein Commission Comments: The Commission deliberated on the proposed remodel and discussed extensively traffic circulation plan for drop-off and pick-up of children at the school Public Hearing Opened„ Bennett Lord, with Lord Architecture addressed the Commission and stated he was available to answer any questions they might have regarding the design of the project, Father Patrick Mulkahey stated the church is very happy to finally be able to be before the Commission and they are anxious and ready to move forward with construction of their proposed Master Plan remodel; he urged the Commission's approval MSC (Spethman/Tripp)(4-0-03) that the Planning Commission 1„) Adopt Mitigated Negative Declaration IS 08-08; 2„) Adopt Resolution PCC 08-10, approving a Conditional Use Permit for a Master Plan for the existing Corpus Christi Catholic Church, which will consist of a remodeled sanctuary, social hall, and school, based on the findings and subject to the conditions contained therein, with the caveat that the applicant submit prior to opening of the school a traffic circulation plan depicting the drop-off and pick-up points that is acceptable to staff„ Motion carried.
