RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE LANDSCAPING
ON THE "E" STREET EXTENSION
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, ten landscaping contractors were solicited for
a bid, on Invitation No. 13-1964-65, for the landscaping on the
"E" Street Extension, and
WHEREAS, the following two landscape contractors responded
to the invitation to bid as follows:
C. A. Redden $2,420.00
Hanlon Brothers Nursery $3,840.90
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation and the
Purchasing Agent have recommended that the contract for said land-
scaping be awarded to the low bidder, C. A. Redden, and
WHEREAS, the low bidder, C. A. Redden, has assured the
Purchasing Agent that he is a duly licensed landscape contractor
in the State of California, and that he can produce an acceptable
performance bond.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the

City of Chula Vista that said two bids be, and they are hereby
accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the contract for the land-
scaping of the "E" Street extension, according to specifications
as approved by the Director of Parks and Recreation, be and it is
hereby awarded to C. A. Redden.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said landscaping shall be
completed on or before the thirtieth day following the acceptance
of bid and awarding of contract.
