RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA MAINTAINING THE EXISTING CITY INVESTMENT POLICY
AND GUIDELINES
WHEREAS, the City has an existing Investment Policy and Guidelines to insure the
prudent management of idle cash; and
WHEREAS, state law (Government Code Section 53646) requires that the Investment
Policy and Guidelines be adopted by resolution of the City Council on an annual basis after
being reviewed to ensure consistency with the overall objectives of preservation of principal,
liquidity, and yield, and its relevance to current law and financial and economic trends; and
WHEREAS, staffs recommends maintaining the existing Investment Policy and
Guidelines.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista
does hereby maintain the existing City Investment Policy and Guidelines.
