RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING PURCHASING
AGREEMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF SEVEN POLICE PATROL
SEDANS
WHEREAS, the fiscal year 1998-1999 Equipment Replacement and Planning & Building
Department budgets provide for the purchase of seven replacement and two new patrol
sedans for the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, on December 3, 1998, the following three bids for the purchase of these
vehicles were received:

WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder was Dixon Fo~d with a net unit price of
921,580.17 (without taxes); and
WHEREAS, nine sedans were originally bid, but the Police Department instead has
decided to purchase two sport utility vehicles under a separate agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista
does hereby accept and bids and award Purchasing Agreements for the purchase of seven
police patrol sedans to Dixon Ford, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.

California, this 16th day of February, 1999, by the following vote:
