HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1963-3067RESOLUTION No. 3067 RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE HARBOR COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND SUSPENDING THE FUNCTIONS OF THE HARBOR COMMISSION WHEREAS the passage of Senate Bill No. 41 at the extraordinary session of the 1962 Legislature created a Unified Port District, and WHEREAS, by the provisions of said bill the City of Chula Vista has conveyed all of its tidelands to the said Unified Port District, and WHEREAS, there is no longer any need for a Harbor Commission, and the City of Chula Vista has by Ordinance repealed Sections 26, 27, and 28 referring to said Harbor Commission, and WHEREAS, the Harbor Commission for many years has served the City of Chula Vista with dedicated purpose, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Chula Vista does hereby commend the Harbor Commission and its members and each of them for their services to the City of Chula Vista, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the functions of the said Harbor Commission are hereby suspended until further action by the City Council.
