INFORMATION ITEMS
1. RCC Action Plan Discussion -This item was postponed until the next meeting.
• DIRECTOR COMMENTS
• Our compressed natural gas dispenser was updated and operating at the Maxwell Public
Works facility about two months ago. In the month of October, we used 370 gallons of
gas equivalents, and over 2000 gallons of gas equivalents in November, so we're really
starting to see use pick up.
• Asked additional Commissioners to sign up for the Bring Your Own Bag event on the
15tH
• Mentioned a new exhibit at the Nature Center, which utilizes washed up plastics as a
material for art. A future RCC meeting may be held at the Nature Center so the board
can see the exhibit.
CHAIR COMMENTS
None
COMMISSIONER COMMENTS
• Commissioner Coleman mentioned that the next Wildlife Advisory Group meeting is
scheduled for next Wednesday, but that there is no quorum at this time, so it's possible
the meeting may be cancelled.
• .Commissioner Coleman commented regarding the solar rate increase that people who
learn about this who might have been contemplating solar may now be reluctant, and
that the more information out there for the public, and the more the City and other
interveners can do to bring people into the process will really help the cause.
RCC Minutes, 12/12/11, Page 2 of 3
• Commissioner Vargas shared information about aweb-based quality of life survey for
the County of San Diego that the board may want to review.
