RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA APPROPRIATING $71,088 FROM THE
UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND FOR
THE 2000 CAFETERIA BENEFITS PLANS RELATIVE BUYING
POWER PROVISIONS
WHEREAS, to provide employees with relative buying power from year to year, labor
agreements with the City's employee groups include provisions for adjustments to beginning Cafeteria
Plan balances when health insurance rates increase; and
WHEREAS, the City and its employees share the increases 50/50; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate the funds needed to pay the City's 50% share of
the increases for remainder of this fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does
hereby appropriate $71,088 from the unappropr ated balance of the General Fund to the employees'
beginning Cafeteria Plan balances as set for in Attachment A of the 2000 Cafeteria Benefits Plans
relative buying power provisions.
