HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1999-19603 - RESOLUTION 19603 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA APPROPRIATING $9,000 IN UNANTICIPATED REVENUES FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FOR TRAVEL EXPENSES FOR THE MAJOR NARCOTICS INITIATIVE WHEREAS, San Diego and Imperial Counties have been designated a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area by the u.S. Department ofJustice; and WHEREAS, The Chula Vista Police Department has assigned one Agent to the Major Narcotics Initiative funded by the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Initiative; and WHEREAS, The City ofChula Vista will appropriate $9,000 in unanticipated revenues from the u.S. Department ofJustice for travel expenses; and WHEREAS, the U. S Department of Justice will reimburse the City of Chula Vista for all travel expenses incurred by the High Intensity Drug Initiative position; and - NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City ofChula Vista does hereby appropriate $9,000 in unanticipated revenues from the US Department of Justice for travel expenses for the Major Trafficking Initiative.
