HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1966-4081Form No. 327 RESOLUTION N0. 4081 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND THE CHULA VISTA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PORTIONS OF LOTS 21, 27, and 28 in QUARTER SECTION 119, OF RANCHO DE LA NACION, ACCORDING TO MAP THEREOF NO. 505 ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY RECORDER, KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS FIRST AVENUE ANNEXATION N0. 3 The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS , on the 12th day of Ma 19 66 , there was filed in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Chula Vista, a written petition for the annexation to, incorporation and inclusion in the City of Chula Vista of certain uninhabited territory particularly described in said petition, and hereinafter described, in the County of San Diego, State of California, which said territory is contiguous to the City of Chula Vista, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as amended. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as amended; NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the proposed annexation to, incorporation and inclusion in the City of Chula Vista of certain uninhabited territory in the County of San Diego contiguous to the City of Chula Vista. The boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Chula Vista are more specifically described as fo~.lows: -1- ~. FIRST AVENUE ANNEXATION N0. 3 Those portions of Lots 21, 27 and 28 in Quarter Section 119 of Rancho de la Nacion, according to Map thereof No. 505 on file in the office of the County Recorder, County of San Diego, State of California, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the East line of First Avenue (formerly Fifth Avenue per said Map 505) and the Southerly subdivision boundary of Princess Palomar Unit No. 2 per Map therof No. 5196 records of said County; Thence alon said subdivision boundary, North 71°27'35" 9 East 1004.71 feet; North 18°41'10" West 331.12 feet to the Northerly line of said lot 21; North 71°26'30" East 236.00 feet along said Northerly line, to the Westerly line of Hilltop Drive (formerly Sixth Avenue per said Map 505) and the Easterly line of said Lot 21; Thence South 18°41'10" East, along said Westerly line, 662.40 feet to the Southeast corner of said Lot 28; Thence South 71°28'37" West, 1241 feet along the Southerly lines of said Lots 28 and 27 to the East line of First Avenue; Thence North 18°37'00" West, along said East line, 330.82 feet to the Point of Beginning. -2- ~~-~a^~a NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that Tuesday , the 28th day of June 1966 at the hour of 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City of Chula Vista, in the Civic Center at 276 Guava Avenue are hereby set as the time and place for hearing protests against the proposed annexation of said territory. At said hearing, the City Council shall hear protests from any owner of property within the City who does not also own property in the territory to be annexed. At any time not later than the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, any owner of property within the territory proposed to be annexed may file written protest against the proposed annexation. Such protest shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of the property affected thereby and the description and area of such property in general terms. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby directed to cause this resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the Chula Vista Star News, and also in a newspaper of general circulation published outside of the City but in the County of San Diego, said publication to be completed at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for the hearing. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of said City be, and he is hereby directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized county assessment roll available on the date these proceedings are initiated, at the address shown on said assessment roll, and to any person who has filed his name and address and the designation of th.e lands in which he has any interest, either legal or equitable, with said Clerk. In the event ar~y land within the territory proposed to be annexed is owned by the County of San Diego, said Clerk shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of said County.
