HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1966-4022 • ~ RESOLUTION NO. 4022 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ESTABLISHING A POLICY FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND CONTROL OF THE LIBRARY ACTIVITIES OF THE CHULA VISTA PUBLIC LIBRARY The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the need for a written policy governing the conduct of library activities in the Chula Vista Public Library has long been apparant, and WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Chula Vista Public Library has compiled such a written policy and has heretofore sub- mitted said policy to the City Council for their consideration, and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said library policy and has determined that it will be of benefit to the library staff and to the general public, serving as a guide for the efficient operation, management and utilization of the library facilities of the City of Chula Vista. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that the policy statement governing the control and operation of the Chula Vista Public Library as recommended by the Board of Trustees of said library is hereby established as the official governing policy of library activities, .pursuant to the provisions of Section 610 of the Charter of the City of Chula Vista.
