RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
PROVIDING CHARGES FOR WEED ABATEMENT AND CONFIRMING SUCH
ASSESSMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY AUDITOR AND TAX
COLLECTOR TO INCLUDE SUCH CHARGES ON THE 1966-67 PROPERTY
TAX ROLL
WHEREAS, the Chula Vista City Code, Chapter 14, Article IV,
Section 14.38 et seq. provides for the removal of weeds, and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets has caused the
removal of weeds, rubbish and other refuse and waste material as
provided in said Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista as follows:
1. The City Council finds that notice as required by
Section 14.38 of the City Code has been duly given and has been
posted in a conspicious place upon the property, land or lots
affected and no appeal from the requirements thereof has been
taken.
2. The City Council further finds that the owners, agents
or persons of the respective properties hereinafter set forth, and
designated in Section 14.42 have failed to remove such weeds, rubbish
and other materials as referred to in such notice and in Section 14.41
of the City Code within the time specified therein.
3. The Superintendent of Streets has determined and certified
the charge to be made for the removal of such materials including
twenty-five percent (250) to be added to cover interest on the cost
thereof and incidental expenses as set forth and designated in
Section 14.43, of the respective properties involved.
4. The list of properties described by street, legal
description, Code area and parcel number, together with the amount
due as determined by the Superintendent of Streets are as shown on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein,
the same as if set forth in full.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and he is
hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to
the Auditor of San Diego County, State of California, or other
proper officer, for inclusion upon the 1966-67 real property tax
roll.
