RESOLUTION NO. 4300
RESOLUTION ELECTING TO PROCEED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF
THE STREET VACATION ACT OF 1941, DECLARING T~_E INTENTION
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA TO VACATE
A PORTION OF SENNA WAY IN THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING THEREON
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
HE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula
Vista that the public interest and convenience require the vacation
of a portion of Senna Way
as more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
by this reference made a part hereof, the same as though fully set
forth herein, and it is the intention of said Council to order the
vacation of that portion of said street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Chula Vista hereby elects to proceed in making said vacation under
the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941, and hereby fixes
TuP~~ay the_ 7th day of _ F nary 19~Z, in the
Council Chambers in the Civic Center of said City as the time and
place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the
proposed vacation.
BE IT FURT:-DER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Chula Vista be, and he is hereby directed to cause a copy of this
resolution to be published once in the Chula Vista Star News, a
newspaper of general circulation published within the City of Chula
Vista,, and to cause notices of the passage of this resolution to be
posted in the manner and form required by law.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF
SENNA WAY STREET VACATION
That certain street named Senna Way, lying Easterly of Oleander
Avenue, within Princess Manor Unit No. 4 according to recorded Map
thereof No. 5650, filed in the office of the County Recorder, County of
San Diego, State of California more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 524 of said Princess Manor
Unit No. 4;
Thence South 88°24'41" West, along the Northerly line of said lot,
a distance of 99.62 feet to the beginning of a tangent 25 foot radius
curve to the left;
Thence Westerly and Southerly along the arc of said curve, through
a central angle of 87°25'06" a distance of 38.14 feet to a point on the
Easterly line of said Oleander Avenue, said point being on the arc of a
375.50 foot radius curve whose center bears North 89°00`25" West from
said. point;
Thence Northerly along said Easterly line and its Northerly continua-
tion, through a central angle of 2°34'54", a distance of 16.92 feet;
Thence tangent to said curve, North O1°35'19" West along said
Easterly line, 77.95 feet to a point on the Westerly line of Lot 523
of said Princess Manor #4, said point being the point of tangency of a
25 foot radius curve whose center bears North 88°24'41" East;
Thence Southerly and Easterly along the arc of said curve, through
a central angle of 90°, a distance of 39.27 feet;
Thence tangent to said curve, North 88°24`41" East, along the Southerly
line of said Lot 523, a distance of 100.86 feet to the Southeast corner of
said Lot 523 and the Easterly subdivision boundary of said Princess Manor
#4;
Thence South 00°27'47" West, along said subdivision boundary, 46.02
feet to the Point of Beginning;
EXCEPTING therefrom, Lot "E" per said Map 5650.

Also RESERVING therefrom the following described easements:
1. An easement for water meter and fire hydrant location over the
Westerly 2 feet thereof;
2. An easement for tree planting over the Westerly 10 feet thereof;
3. An easement for water main, twenty (20) feet in width, the
centerline of which is described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of Senna Way
and Oleander Avenue as shown on said. Map No. 5650; thence Southerly
along the centerline of said Oleander Avenue South 1°35`19" East
10.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence North 88°24'41"
East 149.54 feet. The sidelines of said easement shall be lengthened
or shortened so as to terminate at the Westerly line of Lot "E" of
said Map No. 5650.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion lying within the limits of
said Oleander Avenue.
4. An easement for gas main described as follows:
That certain 6.00 foot strip of land, for the right, easement
and privilege of placing, constructing, repairing, replacing, changing
the size of, maintaining and using a line of pipe and all necessary
and proper fixtures and equipment for use in connection therewith,
for the transmission and distribution of gas and. for all purposes
connected therewith, upon, along and under the hereinafter described
right of way, at such location and. elevation as Grantee may now or
hereafter deem convenient and necessary at any time or from time to
time, together with the right of ingress thereto and egress therefrom,
to and along said right of way, being 3.00 feet on each side of the
following described center line:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of Lot 523 of Princess Manor
Unit No. 4, according to Map thereof No. 5650, filed in the office
of the County Recorder in the County of San Diego, State of California;
thence South 0°27'47" West along the Southerly prolongation of the
Easterly line of said Lot 523 and along the Easterly boundary line
of said Princess Manor Unit No. 4, a distance of 13.00 feet to the
TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING of the center line of right of way herein
described; thence from said TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, South 88°24'41"
West to a point of intersection with the center line of Oleander
Avenue, being a distance of 151 feet, more or less, lying within the
limits of Senna Way as shown on said Map No. 5650.

5. An easement for power lines described as follows:
That certain 12.00 foot strip of land, for the right, easement
and privilege of placing, erecting, constructing, repairing, replacing,
maintaining and using, a line of poles with wires suspended thereon
and all necessary and proper guys, anchorage, crossarms, braces and
other fixtures for use in connection therewith, at such locations
and elevations upon, along and over the hereinafter described right
of way as Grantee may now or hereafter deem convenient and necessary
from time to time, for the transmission and distribution of electricity
for all purposes for which it may be used, together with the right of
ingress thereto and egress therefrom, to and along said line, being
6.00 feet on each side of the following described center line:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of Lot 52.3 of Princess Manor
Unit No. 4, according to Map thereof No. 5650, filed in the office
of the County Recorder in the County of San Diego, State of California;
thence North 0°27'47" East along the Easterly line of said Lot 523,
a distance of 1.13 feet; thence leaving said Easterly line, North
86°50'13" West, 119.11 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING of the
center line of right of way herein described; thence from said TRUE
POINT OF BEGINNING, South 5°57'47" West, 90.00 feet lying within the
limits of Senna Way as shown on said Map No. 5650.

Gentlemen:
This letter refers to the proposed vacation of Serena Way
in Princess Manor Unit 4 as shown on the plat accompanying City of
Chula Vista Engineering Department correspondence dated December 27,
1966.
San Diego Gas & Electric Company maintains and operates
electric power pole line and gas pipeline facilities within certain
sections of the area proposed vacated. Therefore this Company
respectfully requests that the City of Chula Vista reserve an easement
for these conflicting facilities within the Resolution Vacating. The
easement description to be reserved within the Resolution Vacating
is as follows:
That certain 6.00 foot strip of land, for the
right, easement and privilege of placing, constructing,
repairing, replacing, changing the size of, maintaining
and using a line of pipe and all necessary and proper
fixtures and equipment for use in connection therewith,
for the transmission and distribution of gas and for
all purposes connected therewith, upon, along and under
the hereinafter described right of way, at such location
and elevation as Grantee may now or hereafter deem
convenient and necessary at any time or from time to
time, together with the right of ingress thereto and
egress therefrom, to and along said right of way,
being 3.00 feet on each side of the following described
center line:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of Lot 523 of
Princess Manor Unit No. 4, according to Map thereof
No. 5650, filed in the office of the County Recorder

taining and using, a line of poles with wires suspended
thereon and all necessary and proper guys, anchorage,
crossarms, braces and other fixtures for use in connection
therewith, at such locations and elevations upon, along
and over the hereinafter described right of way as Grantee
may now or hereafter deem convenient and necessary from
time to time, for the transmission and distribution of
electricity for all purposes for which it may be used,
together with the right of ingress thereto and egress
therefrom, to and along said line, being 6.00 feet on
each side of the following described center line:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of Lot 523 of
Princess Manor Unit No. 4, according to Map thereof
No. 5650, filed in the office of the County Recorder
in the County of San Diego, State of California; thence
North 0° 27' ~+7" East along the Easterly line of said
Lot 523, a distance of 1.13 feet; thence leaving said
Easterly line, North 86° 50' 13" West, 119.11 feet to
the TRUE POINT' OF BEGINNING of the center line of right
of way herein described; thence from said TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING, South 5° 57' 47" West, 90.00 feet.
It is understood that if the above described easement description
is included in the Resolution Vacating, San Diego Gas & Electric Company
would have no objection to the proposed vacation of Senna Way as set forth
in the first paragraph of this letter.
