Form ~~70'. 31~ RESOLUTION NO. 4331 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEMS AT DAVIDSON STREET, "F" STREET, AND "G" STREET, AND AUTHORIZING-THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAME The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WF3EREAS, the following two bids were received and opened at 11:00 a.m. on the 13th day of February , 19 67, at the Civic Center, 276 Guava Avenue in the City of Chula Vista for the improvement of the traffic signal systems at Davidson Street, "F" Street and "G" Street; Arrow Electric Perry Electric $5,883.00 $7,833.00 and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that the contract for said improvement of traffic signal systems be awarded to the low bidder, Arrow Electric , who has assured the City that he is a licensed Contractor in the State of California, and that he can produce an acceptable performance bond. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that the said two bids be, and they are hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the contract for said improvement of traffic signal systems -1- Form 1Vo . 312 Page 2 according to the specifications as approved by the City Engineer be, and it is hereby awarded to _ Arrnw .1 r;~ and that said improvement of traffic signal systems shall be completed according to said specifications. (b) Examination of Plans, S ecifications, Special Provisions and Site of Work - The bidder is required to examine carefully the site^ of, and the proposal, plans, specifications and contract forms for the work contemplated, and it will be assumed that the bidder has investi- gated and is satisfied as to the conditions to be encountered, as to the character, quality, and quantities of work to be performed and materials to be furnished, and. as to the requirements of the spacifi- catior~s, the special provisions, and the contra ct. Tt is mutually agreed that submission of a proposal shall be considered prima facie evidence that the bidder ha's made such examination. (c) Proposal Form - All proposals must be made upon blank forms to be obtained from the City Engineer at his office, Room 117, Givie Center. All proposals must give the prices proposed, both in writing and figures, and must be signed by the bidder, with his address. If the proposal is made by an individual, his name and postoffice address must be shown.
