HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1967-4327Form ~~70 . 312 RESOLUTION NO. 4327 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A PAINT CREW TRUCK, CAB OVER ENGINE & CHASSIS, AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the following three bids were received and opened at 3:00 p.m. on the 8th day of February , 19 67 at the Civic Center, 276 Guava Avenue in the City of Chula Vista for the purchase of a paint crew truck., cab over engine and chassis: International Harvester $4,261.40 (CO-1600) Marck Motors $4,372.32 Drew Ford $4,636.94 (The above amounts do not include California state sales tax.) and WHEREAS, the purchasing Agent of h ; y c,f C'hul a v; Gta has recommended that the contract for said paint crew truck, cab over engine and chassis be awarded to the low bidder, International Harvester , who has assured the City that he is a licensed vendor in the State of California, and that he can produce an acceptable performance bond. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that the said three bids be, and they are hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the contract for said paint crew truck, cab over engine and chassis Form No. 312 Page 2 according to the specifications as approved by the Purchasing Agent __ be, and it is hereby awarded to International Harvester engine and chassis delivery and that said paint crew truck, cab over shall be completed according to said specifications. BE IT FURT~3ER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Agent of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed said contract for and on behalf of the City of Chula Vista. Presented by ~..
