RESOLUTION N0. 4376
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
APPROVING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND
RAY E. DIXON FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN
THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA KNOWN AS THE PALOMAR SCHOOL-PARK
SITE, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR SAID PURCHASE,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAME
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
That that certain agreement between the City of Chula Vista,
a municipal corporation, and RAY E. DIXON, a single man, for the
purchase of certain real property in the City of Chula Vista known
as the Palomar School-Park Site,
dated the 11th day of April
19 67 , a copy of which
is attached hereto and incorporated herein, the same as though fully
set forth herein be, and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Chula
Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute said
agreement for and on behalf of said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $12,400.00 be, and
the same is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated surplus of
the General Fund for the purpose hereinabove set forth.

AGREEMENT FOR PURCHASE AND SALE OF
REAL PROPERTY
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 11th day of
April 1967, by and between the CITY OF CHULA VISTA, a
municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "Purchaser" and
RAY E. DIXON, a single man, hereinafter referred to as "Seller";
W I T N E S S E T H
WHEREAS, Seller a single man, is the owner of certain
real property as his sole and separate property, hereinafter described,
being parcels of record located in the City of Chula Vista, County of
San Diego, State of California, described as lots or a portion of a
lot or lots of record, and
WHEREAS, Seller wishes to sell, and Purchaser wishes to
purchase said real property to be used for park property in the City
of Chula Vista, County of San Diego, State of California, and
WHEREAS, the parties hereto have reached an agreement which
they now wish to reduce to writing.
NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE PREMISES contained
herein and for other good and valuable consideration, receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. Seller agrees to sell, and Purchaser agrees to purchase,
that certain real property situate in the City of Chula Vista, County
of San Diego, State of California, more particularly described as:
That portion of the South Half of the Northwest Quarter
of the Southeast Quarter of Quarter Section 93 of Rancho
de la Nacion, according to the Map thereof No. 166 by
Morrill, which lies Westerly of the following described
line: Beginning at a point on the Easterly line of Quarter
Section 89 in said Rancho de la Nacion, distant thereon
412.49 feet Northerly from the Southeast corner of said
Quarter Section 89; thence from said point of beginning
South 40°12'40" West, a distance of 6,212.60 feet to a
point on the Westerly line of Quarter Section 92 in said
Rancho de la Nacion, distant thereon 210.57 feet Southerly
from the Northwest corner of said Quarter Section 92.
2. The purchase price for that certain real property, con-
sisting of 3.1 acres situate in the City of Chula Vista shall be the
sum of TWELVE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($12,400.00).
3. Purchaser agrees to deposit said amount in an escrow
covering the sale upon approval of this agreement by the City Council
of the City of Chula Vista. Seller.!agrees to share all normal costs
of escrow and to provide a good and valid title policy for said property.
4. This agreement shall bind, and enure to the benefit of the
heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns of the parties.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this
agreement this 11th day of April 1967.
