HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1966-4226~..: ~ Form No. 312 RESOLUTION N0. 4226 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE "G" STREET AND HILLTOP DRIVE SETn1ER EXTENSION The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the following four bids were received and opened at 11:00 a.m. on the 27th day of October , 1966 at the Civic Center, 276 Guava Avenue in the City of Chula Vista for the extension of the sewer main on "G" Street, Hilltop Drive and Pepper Tree Road, and extension of sewer main on Hilltop Drive south of Georgina Street: Manuel Arrieta $11,6.36.75 Carl 0. Brorson, Jr. 12,915.00 Paul Hansen 13,3.08.06 Cameron Bros. 15,402.73 and WHEREAS, the__ Citv Engineer has recommended that the contract for said installation of sewer main extensions be awarded to the low bidder, Manuel Arrieta , who has assured the City that he is a licensed Contractor in the State of California, and that he can produce an acceptable performance bond. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that the said 4 bids be, and they are hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the contract for said installation of sewer main extensions -1- Page 2 according to the specifications as approved by the City En ineer be, and it is hereby awarded to Manuel Arrieta and that said installation of sewer main extensions shall be completed on or before the date set forth in said specifications. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of Chula Vista. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $5.110..00 be, and the same is hereby authorized to be expended from the 17-96, BO-3 account for the purposes set forth hereinabove.
