HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1967-4496Form No. 325 RESOLUTION N0. 4496 RESOLUTION Or' THE CITY COUNCIL Or THE CITY" OF CHULA VISTA GIVING; NOTICE OF THE PROrOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF CHULA ~I:LSTA AND THE CHULA VISTA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT OF A PORTION O~"THAT CERTAIN PARCEL DESCRIBED AS LOT 4 IN QUARTER SECTION 118 OF RANCHO DE LA NACION, KNOWN ADD DESCRIBED AS KIFFE'S QUINTARD ANNEXATION The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, on the 13th day of July _~~~, 1967, there was filed in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Chula Vista a written petition for the annexation to, incorporation and inclusion in the City of Chula vista oi~ certa.i.n uninhabited territory particularly described in said petition, in the County of San Diego, State of California, which said territory is contiguous to the City of Chula Vista, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as amended; and WHEitEAS, said petition was signed by all of the owners of the land n such territory and representing all of the assessed value of such territory according to the last preceding equalized assessment roll of the County of San Diego, in which such territory is situated; and WHEREAS, said petition was accompanied by the written consent of all of t_he owners of said uninhabited territory subject to taxation that the same may be taxed to pay .its proportionate share of any indebtedness or _t.iab.lity or the City of Chula Vista contracted prior to or existing at the tide of r_.he annexation thereof; NOW, TIIERE~`ORE, BE LT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Annexation of. U.n.inhabited. Territory Act of 1939 as amended; NCTTCE 5 HEREBY GIVEN of the proposed annexation to, incorporation and inclusion in the City of Chula Vista of certain uninhabited territory Ln t-_he County of San Diego contiguous to the City of Chula Vi_~ta. The boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Chula Vista are more specifically described as follows -1.- LEGAL DESCRIPTION KIFFE'S QUINTARD ANNEXATION That certain parcel of land described as Lot 4 in Quarter Section 118 of Rancho de la Nacion according to recorded Map thereof No. 505, filed in the office of the County Recorder, County of San Diego, State of California, said lot being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Lot 4; Thence Easterly, along the Northerly line of said lot, being the Southerly line of Quintard Street, (formerly Ninth Street accord- ing to Map 505), 620 feet more or less to the Northeast corner of said Lot 4; Thence Southerly, along the Easterly line of said lot, being the Westerly line of Hilltop Drive (formerly Sixth Avenue according to Map 505), 290 feet more or less to the Southeast corner of said Lot 4; Thence Westerly, along the Southerly line of said lot, 620 feet more or less to the Southwest corner of said Lot 4; Thence Northerly, along the Westerly line of said lot, 290 feet more or less to the point of beginning. -2- '~ Said territory is hereby designated as KIFFE'S QUINTARD ANNEXATION NOTICE IS P`~JRTHER LIVEN that Tuesday , the 8th day of August ~, 1967 , at the hour of 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City of Chu:1a Vista, 276 Guava Avenue, are hereby set as the time a~zd place for hearing protests against the proposed annexation of said territoryR At the hearing on the annexation, the City Council shall hear protests from any owner of property within the City who does not also own property zn the territory to be annexed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published once in the Chula Vista Star News, a news- paper of general circulation published within the City of Chula Vista.
