Attached is a copy of Resolution [XI Ordinance [ ] Agreement [ ] Plat [ ]
Background:
At the meeting of March 28, 1972, Council authorized the special appropriation of funds
to purchase street tree maintenance equipment. Bids were opened and read at 9:00 A.M.
on June 12, 1972 in the office of the Purchasing Agent for one (1) Root Cutter. Four
vendors were mailed bidding forms. One vendor responded as follows:

$7,265.00
DELIVERY
45 days
Three of the vendors receiving bidding forms stated that they were unable to bid
since there is only one manufacturer of this item. The west coast representative
of this item is West Point Industries.
Funds required are $7,265.00, plus sales tax of $363.25, for a total of $7,628.25.

been appropriated for the purpose of said contract, that
sufficient monies to meet the obligations of the contract
are actually in the Treasury, or are anticipated to come
into the Treasury to the credit of the appropriation from
which the same are to be drawn, and that said monies now
actually in the Treasury, together with the monies antic-
ipated to come into the Treasury, to the credit of said
appropriation are otherwise unencumbered.
