Bids were opened and read at 9:00 A.M. on June 12, 1972 in the office of the Purchasing Agent for one (1) Root Cutter. Four vendors were mailed bidding forms. One vendor responded as follows: BIDDER West Point Industries Inc. UNIT PRICE $7,265.00 DELIVERY 45 days Three of the vendors receiving bidding forms stated that they were unable to bid since there is only one manufacturer of this item. The west coast representative of this item is West Point Industries. Funds required are $7,265.00, plus sales tax of $363.25, for a total of $7,628.25.
