RESOLUTION OF THE CHULA VISTA CITY COUNCIL
ACCEPTING UNANTICIPATED GRANT REVENUES IN THE
AMOUNT OF $25,000 FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
FOR THE COLLECTION OF TRAFFIC STOP DEMOGRAPHIC
DATA IN THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, AS PART OF A
STATE-WIDE STUDY OF RACIAL PROFILING
WHEREAS, The California Highway Patrol has received grant funds to distribute monies
to those participating California local law enforcement agencies to offset the costs created by
traffic stop demographic data collection; and
WHEREAS, Chula Vista is located within the geographic area where data collection is to
Octlit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chula Vista City Council does hereby
accept unanticipated grant revenues in the amount of $25,000 from the State of California for the
collection of traffic stop demographic data in the City of Chula Vista, as part of a state-wide
study of racial profiling.
