ITEM TITLE: Resolution - Accepting Drainage Easement from Earl Scheib
Realty Corp.

BACKGROUND:
FINANCIAL
STATEMENT:
The Earl Scheib organization proposes to construct an auto paint
shop upon their property at the southeast corner of Broadway and
Arizona Street. There exists along the southwesterly boundary
of the property a drainage easement 20' in width, half of which
is located upon the Scheib property. The Division of Enai.neerin
has determined that the existing easement width is insufficient
to accommodate the ultimate drainage demands upon the subject
property. To meet such demands it is necessary that the easemen
across the Scheib property be widened to 201, or an additional
ten feet.
Article 5 of Ordinance 1205 permits requirement of dedication
for drainage purposes as a condition of issuance of a building
permit. Such requirement as been imposed and the Earl Scheib
Realty Corp. on November 1, 1971 executed a grant of easement
for drainage purposes. In conjunction with grading to be done
upon the site, the owner will be required to clean and grade the
channel.
The easement submission has been reviewed by the Division. of
Engineering. .Acceptance and dedication of the easement is
recommended by the Director of Public Works.
A transparency is available for Council viewing.

Your office is requested to prepare the necessary [X] Resolution;
[ ] Ordinance; [ ] Agreement; to be presented to the City Council for
action on November 23 , 1971 , on the subject matter.
