ITEM TITLE: Resolution - Amending Schedule VI of Traffic Code to
limit parking on a portion of K Street

REQUESTED: Establish permanent traffic regulation

BACKGROUND:
The owners of business establishments in the 300 block of
K Street, west of Third Avenue, requested 2 -hour parking
from 8 A. M. to 6 P. M. to eliminate all day parking in
the limited curb space. Signs were erected approximately
8 months ago for a distance of 136 feet on the south side
of K Street and have proven to eliminate the problem.

The owners of the establishments located on the south side of "K"
Street in the area described above have requested this regulation
to eliminate all day parkers that use the very limited curb space.
This regulation has been functioning satisfactorily for approximately
8 months and it is recommended that it be made permanent. It has
also been reviewed.and approved by the.Safety Commission.
