On September 10, 1971, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Trevisani signed a Grant
Deed granting the City a strip of property located on the northerly
side of "D" Street, west of Minot Avenue for street purposes.
Also, on August 26, 1971, Mrs. Carrol B. Hauenstein signed a Grant
Deed granting the City a strip of property located on the easterly
side of "D" Street, east of Second Avenue for street purposes.
"D" Street was originally dedicated and accepted through the
recordation of the map of Rosebank Subdivision in January, 1911.
The street was initially dedicated with a 40 foot right of way.
Current standards call for a 51 foot width. Article 5 of Ordinance
1205 requires the dedication of needed right of way as a condition
of issuance of a building permit. Therefore, it is a requirement
of the City that a 5 -1/2 foot width strip be dedicated from each
of the subject properties so as to ultimately provide the total
width of 51 feet.
Please prepare a resolution for Council action accepting the
subject grant deeds and dedicating and naming the described parcels
as "D" STREET. The resolution should further instruct the City
Clerk to record the documents in the Office of the San Diego County
Recorder.
A transparency is available for Council viewing.
