RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 85 CFM ROTARY
COMPRESSOR, AND AUT~?ORIZING THE PURCHASING AGEDa'T TO
EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the following two bids were received and opened
at 3:00 p.m. on the 8th day of July 1968 , in the
Office of the Purchasing Agent
of the City of Chula Vista for a=~ 35 CFM Rotary Compressor for the
Public Works Department
Acco Construction & Equipment Co.
Bidding a DAVEY 85 CFM Compressor at $3,117.55
So. Equipment Co. , Bidding an 85 ~-~' M
WORTHINGTON Compressor at 2,955.00
and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that said contract be awarded
to the lowest responsible bidder, Southern Equipment & Supply Co.
who has assured the City that he is a licensed Vendor
in the State of California and can produce an acceptable performance
bond.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Chula Vista does hereby accept said two bids, and does
hereby award the contract for said 85 CFM Rotary Compressor
to Southern Equipment & Supply Co. ~~~~
to be completed in accordance with the specifications as approved by the
Department of Public Works of the City of Chula Vista-
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Agent
of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed
to execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of Chula Vista
