RESOLUTION N0. 4801
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
ELECTING °TO PROCEED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE STREET
VACATION AC°T OF 1941, DECLARING THE INTENTION OF 'THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA TO VACATE A PORTION OF
PALOMAR STREET IN THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING THEREON
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista has
determined that the public interest and convenience of said City re-
quire the vacation of a portion of Palomar Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is the intention of
the City Council to order the vacation of a portion of Palomar Street
more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this
reference made a part hereof, the same as though fully set forth herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Chula
Vista hereby elects to proceed in making said vacation under the pro-
visions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941, and hereby fixes Tuesday
the 9th day of July 19 6g, in the Council Chambers in
the Civic Center, 276 Guava Avenue, Chula Vista, California, as the time
and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the pro-
posed vacation
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Chula Vista be, and he is hereby directed to cause a copy of this resol-
ution to be published once in the Chula Vista Star News, a newspaper of
general circulation published within the City of Chula Vista, and to
cause notices of the passage of this resolution to be posted in the
manner and form required by law.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
That portion of the Northerly Half of Palomar Street lying Easterly
of Walnut Avenue in the City of Chula Vista as shown on Harborside Unit
No. 2, according to Map thereof No. 2119, filed in the office of the
County Recorder, County of San Diego, State of California more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwesterly corner of Lot 18, Block "R" of said
Harborside Unit #2;
Thence South 18°24'30" East, along the Westerly line of said Lot 18,
a distance of 0.98 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, said point being
on the arc of a 472 foot radius curve, concave Northerly, whose center
bears North 28°03'02" East from said point;
Thence Southeasterly, along the arc of said curve, through a central
angle of 8°34'01", a distance of 70.57 feet to a line that is paralell
with and 40 feet Northerly of the Southerly line of said Harborside Unit
#2 Subdivision;
Thence North 83°28'29" West, along said parallel line, 33.97 feet
to the beginning of a tangent 44 foot radius curve, concave Northerly;
Thence Northwesterly, along the arc of said curve, through a central
angle of 40°26'39", a distance of 31.06 feet to a point on the Westerly
line of said Lot 18;

RESERVING THEREFROM an easement to San Diego Gas & Electric Company
for power facilities described as follows:
That certain 4.00 foot wide easement and right of way over and across

Diego, being 2,00 feet measured at right angles on each side of the

Subject: Portion of Palomar Street Closing
Gentlemen:
At their meeting of June 3, 1968, the City Planning
Commission considered the request to vacate a portion
of Palomar Street at the intersection of Walnut Avenue,
in accordance with the attached plat. The request was
initiated by the Division of Engineering; another
section delineated on the plat will be dedicated for
street widening purposes.
The Commission recommends approval of this street closing.

Gentlemen:
This letter refers to the proposed vacation of a portion
of Walnut Avenue and Palomar Street as shown on a plat accompanying
your correspondence under date of May 27, 1968.
San Diego Gas & Electric Company maintains electric
power pole line anchorage facilities within a portion of the area
proposed vacated. Therefore, it is respectfully requested that
the City of Chula Vista reserve an easement within the Resolution
Vacating providing for this conflicting anchorage Facility.
If the accompanying easement description is included
within the Resolution Vacating, it is understood San Diego Gas 8c
Electric Company would have no objection to the proposed vacation
as outlined in the first paragraph of this letter.

thereof, and fixed 7 P.M., on July 9, 1968 , in the Council Chamber, Civic Center, 276 Guava Ave., in said City of Chula Vista, as the time and place for hearing
