rorm ivo 3i~ Revco 8-67 RESOLUTION NO~ 4791 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE CITY'S ANNUAL REQUIREMENTS FOR LIBRARY BOOKS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1968-69 The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the following 3 bids were received and opened at 3:30 p.m. on the 24th day of May 19 68s in the Office of the Purchasing Agent of the City of Chula Vista for the City's annual requirements for library books for the fiscal year 1968-69 Discount Discount Tech. Discount Fair Vendor Trade Books & Text Books Trade Books H. R. Huntting 37.20 10% No flat discount Baker & Taylor 370 12% 3% Carl J. Leibel 36.60 12o 50 and WHEREAS, in addition to the discounts offered, consideration has been given to various other factors, such as past service to the City and shipping distances, in order to obtain the most advantageous bid to the City of Chula Vista, and WHEREAS, it has been recommended that said contract be awarded to the most qualified bidder, Baker & Taylor who has assured the City that he is a licensed Vendor in the State of California and can produce an acceptable performance bond. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby accept said 3 bids, and does hereby award the contract for said library books to Baker & Taylor ~~ to be completed ,in accordance with the specifications as approved by the City Librarian and Purchasing Agent of the City of Chula Vista- BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Agent _ of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of Chula Vista.
