RESOLU^1 ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
ADDITION TO NORMAN PARK CENTER, AND APPROPRIATING
NECESSARY FUNDS
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the following six bids were received and opened
at 11:00 a.m, on the 25th day of February, 1969, in the Office of the
Director of Public Works of the City of Chula Vista for the construction
of an addition to Norman Park Center:

WHEREAS, it has been recommended that said contract be
awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, W. M, Tucker, Jr., General
Contractor, who has assured the City that he is a licensed contractor
in the State of California and can produce an acceptable performance
bond.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Chula Vista does hereby accept said six bids, and does hereby
award the contract for sa:i.d Norman Park Center addition to W. M.
Tucker, Jr., General Contractor, to be completed in accordance with
the specifications as approved by the Director of Public Works of the
City of Chula Vista.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $35,000.00 be, and
the same is hereby appropriated from the Capital Improvement Schedule
of the General Fund, and that the sum of $9,425.00, being the difference
between the amount budgeted for said project and the low bid of $41,990.00
plus alternate additive of $1,922.00 and the balance of the architect's
fees in the amount of $513.00 be, and the same is hereby appropriated
from the unappropriated reserve of the General Fund for the purposes
hereinabove set forth.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Chula
Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute said
contract for and on behalf of the Cit°~ of Chula Vista.

I HEP.EBY CERTIFY that the indebtedness and obliq-
ation to be incurred. by the contract or agreement author-
ized by the attached resolution can be incurred without
the violation of any of the provisions of the Charter of
the City of Chula. Vista, or the Constitution or the laws
of. the State of California, that sufficient monies have
been ax~propriatecl for the purpose of_ said contract, that
sufficient monies to moot the obligations of the contract
are actually in the Treasury, or are anticipated to come
into the Treasury to the credit of the appropriation from
which the same a.re to be drawn, and that said monies now
actually in the Treasury, together with the monies antic-
ipated to come into the Treasury, to the credit of said
appropriation are otherwise unencumbered.
