HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1969-5192RESOLUTION N0. 5192 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ESTABLISHING SETBACKS ALONG TIDELANDS AVENUE IN THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND RECOMMENDING THAT SAID SETBACKS BE ADOPTED BY THE SAN DIEGO UNIFIED PORT DISTRICT FOR APPLI- CATION FOR ANY PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION ALONG TIDELANDS AVENUE The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, Section 33.68 of the Chula Vista City Code establishes the "T" tidelands zone regulations which are applicable to those tidelands previously under the trusteeship and management of the City of Chula Vista which are presently under the jurisdiction of the San Diego Unified Port District, and WHEREAS, said section as well as other provisions of the Code relating to tidelands zoning regulations do not thoroughly establish setbacks for existing and proposed roadways and highways in said tidelands area, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Chula Vista considered the establishment of setback lines on Tidelands Avenue located within that area under the jurisdiction of the San Diego Unified Port District and at their meeting of May 6, 1969 recommended that the following setbacks be established and that the City Council by resolution request that the San Diego Unified Port District adopt said setback lines and the two setback provisions as indicated in their ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that the following setback lines are hereby established for Tidelands Avenue: The setback requirement for the 120' right-of-way of Tidelands Avenue is hereby established at 10 feet. The setback requirement for the 100' right-of-way of Tidelands Avenue is hereby established at 20 feet. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista hereby recommends that the San Diego Unified Port District adopt said setback provisions as set forth hereinabove. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of. the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the San Diego Unified Port District Commission.
