HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2001-032 RESOLUTION NO. 2001-032 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHLrLA VISTA AMENDING THE APPENDIX TO THE LOCAL CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE WHEREAS, the Political Reform Act, Government Code Sections 8100 et seq., requires local government agencies to adopt and promulgate conflict of interest codes; and WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2807, adopting by reference the standardized conflict of interest code contained in Title 2 of the Califomia Code of Regulations, Section 18730, and any amendments thereto which are adopted by the Fair Political Practices Commission; and WHEREAS, the Political Reform Act requires every local agency to review its Conflict of Interest Code biennially to determine if it is accurate or, alternatively, that the Code must be amended; and WHEREAS, as directed by the City Council, the City Attomey and the City Clerk have reviewed the Code on behalf of City staff and all departments of the City and designated City Commissions and Boards and have determined that amendments to the Appendix of the Code are necessary. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that the list of officials and designated employees of the City of Chula Vista who are required to file periodic statements of economic interests, and the disclosure categories under which each such official and designated employee is required to file, are shown on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made a part hereof. Such written determination shall include a description of the consultant's duties and, based upon that description, a statement of the extent of disclosure requirements. The City Manager's determination is a public record and shall be retained for public inspection in the same manner and location as the Conflict of Interest Code. Exhibit "A" Page 4 of 4
