BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Uniform Building Valuations set
forth in the following schedule, as published by "Building Standards",

the City of Chula Vista
BUILDING VALUATION DATA
The valuations listed herein are intended to represent all costs,
including the architects' and engineers' fees, contractor profit, as
well as all labor and material. By using a similar cost index for all
buildings, the permit and plan check fees can be uniformly charged to
all construction. Some jurisdictions rely on contractors' bids to
establish the valuation. This may be a satisfactory method if uniformly
applied. In some cases, however, such bids do not provide a true
valuation, since the contractor might have financial interest in the
building and reduce his normal profit or may take advantage of a slack
season.
