Item Title: Resolution - Establishing a Humanitarian Award to be
known as the "Robert B. Botterman Award"

Background:
The Human Relations Commission recommends to the City
Council that they establish a Humanitarian Award to be
given annually on January 15th. This award is to be pre-
sented to a citizen of Chula Vista for service to the
community in the area of human relations and for pro-
moting justice, amity, understanding and cooperation
among all people.
Nominations can be made by any individual or group
concerned with the City of Chula Vista. This awardee
would be selected by the Human Relations Commission
at its December meeting and the presentation made at
the January City Council meeting prior to January 15th
(Human Relations Day).
