The cost of the processing fee for this annexat?_on is
$?.88.50. Th~~ Dig°.~ctor of P1<-tnning has indicated that
' the City is liable for this cost, since it was City-
initiatc~d.
It is, therefore, requested that a special appropriation
of $500 he sc,t up in Account 01-1160--5205 - Other Specialized
Services (City Clerk's account), in order that this
annexation a:~d c':.l-;er City-initiated annexations fees Call
be paid for. One other annexation is now pending -
Arizona Street 1911 Block Act.
It should be note,:t that the City Clerk bil]_s all. applicants
for. tll.e costs of processing fees - this amount is put into
ACCOUtlt 40-4011 (Cash Bond l;eposit) and subsecuently paid to
the St~~tc~ Board of Equalization. The only other cost to the

City Clerk
Annexation Fees
In view of the new ruling by the State Board of.
Equalization, effective ?March 1, 1972, an annexa-
tion fee must be paid for all properties being
annexed to the City.
The City Clerk is charged with the responsibility
of collecting this fee and forwarding it to the
Board of Equalization.
sae have two annexations now pending with the City,
which are City-initiated: Otay Valley Road and
Arizona Street 1911 Act. The Director of Planning
informs me that the City must pay this cost. I
have, therefore, requested a resolution apnropriatinc~
the sum of $500 to cover the cost of these twa
annexations.
It now appears necessary to change my budget and
incorporate this new account: Other Specialized
Services - 01-1160-5202 in the amount of $1000 for
the fiscal year 1972-73.
