HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2000-326 RESOLUTION NO. 2000-326 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA RATIFYING THE CHANGE ORDER FOR THE OTAY RECREATION CENTER (PR-133) PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE D1RECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO EXECUTE SAID CHANGE ORDER ON BEHALF OF THE CITY WHEREAS, on December 15, 1998, the City Council awarded the contract for the "Otay Recreation Center, in the City of Chula Vista, CA (PR-133)" Project to C & S Doctor, Inc., San Diego; and WHEREAS, during the construction of the Otay Recreation Center, the City Manager and the Director of Public Works approved a total cost of $137,140 in change orders for the completion of the project; and WHEREAS, City staff initiated the largest portions of the change order in order to upgrade some of the materials; and WHEREAS, City Council Policy No. 574-01 provides guidance on the approval of change orders in public work projects. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby ratify the change order for the Otay Recreation Center Project in the amount of $137,140. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager and the Director of Public Works are hereby authorized to execute said change order on behalf of the City. Presented by Approved as to form by J ip J M.
