CHCLA VISTA CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF September 5, 1972
Item Title: Resolution - Accepting Easement for Sanitary Sewer and ~,
Appurtenant Structures - 940 Hilltop Drive
Initiated by: Director of Public Works/City Engineer ~~
Attached is a copy of Resolution ( ] Ordinance f ~rrnemen~ [ 1 Plat ( }
Background:
On March 17, 1972, per Resolution 6363, the City entered into
agreement with owners of certain properties along Hilltop
Drive between "L" Street and Donahoe Street for the design,
construction, maintenance and operation of a sewage system.
The sewage system is designed to ultimately be incorporated
into a larger gravity system, but pending the ultimate extension
of the sewer and the annexation of downstream properties, the
proposed system will utilize sewage pumps and a force main.
Bids for the work have been received and deposits made by
several of the property owners. Award of the bid is scheduled
to closely precede consideration of this item on the Council
agenda. In the event that the bid is awarded, it is necessary
that right of way for the project be provided. The Chula Vista
Presbyterian Church has executed an easement for sewer purposes
suitable to the current and to the ultimate needs of the area.
The City should now accept and dedicate the sewer easement.
A transparency is available for Council viewing.
