HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1969-5333RESOLUTION NO. 5333 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, AMENDING RESOLUTION N0. 4192 APPROVED ON SEPTEMBER 27, 1966, ESTABLISHING A NEW RATE SCHEDULE FOR TOW CAR SERVICES REQUESTED BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista has heretofore adopted Resolution No. 4192 on the 27th day of September, 1966, which resolution contained, among other things, a rate schedule for towing services requested by the Chula Vista Police Department, and WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of said resolution, the towing companies involved have requested that the City Council review said rate schedules, and the City Council has completed such review. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that the rate schedules for police-originated towing services, as contained in Resolution No. 4192 adopted on the 27th day of September, 1966, be and the same is hereby amended to read as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said amended rate schedules shall commence and be in full force and effect on and after August 27, 1969. GENERAL PROVISIONS• Vehicles having a rated load capacity of one ton or more shall, when towed by a tow truck having a rated load capacity of 12 tons or less, pay one and one-half times the basic rate set forth in (towing-Accident) and (Towing-Non-Accidents) above. HEAVY DUTY TOW TRUCKS; (Five ton capacity or over) --- $25.00 per hour. When the Contractor is not equipped with a heavy duty tow truck, the Police Department may dispatch arty tow truck available. Preference shall be given to contractors from other districts. ALL ABOVE PRICES BASED ON TOW TRUCK AND ONE(1) OPERATOR. ALL ABOVE OPERATIONS ALLOW 15 MINUTES AT SCENE WITH NO EXTRA CHARGE. EXTRA MAN: -----$6.00 per hour (if needed). LABOR AT SCENE AT RATE OF $3,00 per ,-~ hour.
