[ 19 ] Resolution - Accepting, Dedicating And Naming One Foot Control Lots from Edbro California Handyman, Inc. as Kennedy Street Director of Public Works/City Engineer /~ One of the conditions of approval of the parcel map for the new Handyman facility between Palomar Street and Kennedy Street east of Third Avenue was that Handyman acquire the existing one foot control lots in Kennedy Street and dedicate them to the City. This requirement is in conformance with the Subdivision Map Act and Chapter 28 of the Chula Vista City Code. Handyman was unable to deliver the necessary documents conveying the ownership of the one foot control lots to the City before the opening of the facility because they had problems in acquiring these lots from the owners. Just recently Handyman's efforts met with success and they delivered to the Engineering Division on October 17, 1973, the executed documents. Accepting, dedicating and naming the one foot lots will eliminate the private ownership of a one foot strip of land within Kennedy Street. The deliverance of the docu- ments to the City by Handyman fulfills all the requirements of approval for the final parcel map.
