[ 11 ] CHULA VISTA CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF: O c tobe r 9, 1973 ITEM TITLE: Resolution - Acceptance of Public Improvements on East Palomar Street, Gas Tax Project #127 INITIATED BY: R 4 (' TC (: R (1T T TU Tl Director of Public Works/City Engineer The contract work for the construction of street improvements on East Palomar Street at Nacion Avenue has been completed by the contractor, R. E. Hazard Contracting Company, in accordance with the contract agreement dated July 10, 1973. A final inspection was made on September 27, 1973, and all of the public improvements in the project have been completed to the satisfaction of the Public Works Director and in accordance with the requirements of the City. The initial amount of the contract to R. E. Hazard was $12,655.50. The City Council, by Resolution 6931 on June 21, 1973, authorized the expenditure of $13,920. A change order in the amount of $850 and an overrun of in-place quantities consisting of asphalt concrete surfacing and aggregate base has increased the final contract amount to $14,089.36. An additional sum in the amount of $169.36 should be authorized by the City Council to balance the final cost of the project to the authorized amount.
