HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1967-4579Form NoE 312 Rev 8-67 RESOLUTION NO4 4579 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF "L" STREET FROM 300 FEET EAST OF THIRD AVENUE TO 225 FEET EAST OF MONSERATE AVENUE The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the following five bids were received and opened at 11:00 a.m. on the 4th day of October 19 67, in the or the City of Chula Vista for the improyemen Third Avenue to Monserate Avenue V. R. Dennis R. E. Hazard Griffith Co. T. B. Penick Daley Corp. and ee $165,828.60 163,748.30 171,497.50 182,340.90 181,191.70 WHEREAS, it has been recommended that said contract be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder R. E. Hazard who has assured the City that he is a licensed Contractor in the State of California and can produce an acceptable performance bond. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby accept said five bids, and does hereby award the contract for said improvement of~''L'' Street to R. E. Hazard to be completed in accordance with the specifications as approved by the Director of Public Works of the City of Chula Vista. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of Chula Vista.
