CHULA VISTA CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF: August 21, 1973
ITEM TITLE: Resolution - Accepting Easements for Street Purposes from
Allied Contractors, Inc.
INITIATED BY: Director of Public Works/City Engineer
BACKGROUND
The tentative subdivision map for Southwestern College Estates
Units 8 and 9 was approved on April 25, 1972 by Council Resolution
No. 6413. One of the conditions of approval was for the developer
to offer an easement for street purposes for Rutgers Avenue from
its existing northern terminus to the future "H" Street and for
"H" Street northerly of the proposed subdivision on an alignment
to be determined by the Engineering Division.
In compliance with this condition, the developer, Allied
Contractors, Inc. has submitted a corporation grant deed, granting
to the City of Chula Vista said easement. This easement is in
accordance with the desired ultimate alignment for "H" Street
and Rutgers Avenue, as determined by the Engineering Division.
It is requested that the City Council adopt a resolution accepting
the easement. Upon adoption, the City Clerk shall record the
corporation grant deed at the office of the County Recorder. If
and when subject streets are constructed, they would then be
dedicated and named.
A plat showing the location of said easement is available for
Council viewing.
