RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA APPROVING A SECOND AMENDMENT TO
THE AGREEMENT WITH McGILL MARTIN SELF, INC., FOR
PROJECT MANAGEMENT, PLAN REVIEW AND FINANCIAL
SERVICES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF OLYMPIC
PARKWAY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
SAID AMENDMENT, APPROPRIATING $925,600 FROM THE
UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE TRANSPORTATION
DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEE FUND TO PROJECT S TM-331,
AND APPROPRIATING $25,500 FROM THE
UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE POGGI SEWER BASIN
DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEE FUND TO PROJECT STM-331
WHEREAS, the consultant, McGill Martin Self, Inc. (MMS) has been reviewing plans for
the construction of Olympic Parkway and the channel easterly of Brandywine and coordinating the
Olympic Parkway project including its financing via a community facility district; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends amending the MMS contract to include Olympic Parkway
from Oleander Avenue to Brandywine and various other items and extend project management
services through March of 2002 to ensure successful construction and timing of improvements of
this important roadway segment; and
WHEREAS, with this amendment, MMS may receive up to an additional $2,041,000 for the
work outlined in the second contract amendment for total compensation of $3,821,500; and
WHEREAS, the funds for the amendment will be paid by developer reimbursement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does
hereby approve a Second Amendment to the Agreement with MeGill Martin Self, Inc. for Project
Management, Plan Review and Financial Services for the Construction of Olympic Parkway, a copy
of which shall be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk.
BE IT FLIRTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Chula Vista is hereby
authorized and directed to execute said Amendment on behalf of the City of Chula Vista.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby appropriate $925,600 from
the unappropriated balance of the Transportation Development Impact Fee Fund to Project STM-331
and $25,500 from the unappropriated balance of the Poggi Sewer Basin Development Impact Fee
Fund to STM-331.
