' AGENDA ITEM NOo [ 5] ITEM TITLE: Resolution - Declaring City's Intention to Vacate a Portion of Nita Court Adjacent to I-805 Freeway IPdITIATED BY• unrur_Rnimm Director of Public Works/City Engineer The State of California acquired a portion of Robinhood Unit No. Subdivision, including Nita Court east of Nacion Avenue, for the construction of the I-805 Freeway. The State has now sold a portion of this acquisition as excess right of way to Mr. Verl D. Mason. His property bounds on both sides a small closed portion of Nita Court, which was part of the original State acquisition. He requests that the City of Chula Vista vacate this portion of Nita Court. The said portion of Nita Court is blocked on the east by I-805 Freeway and serves only his property Mr. Mason has filed a tentative parcel map to divide subject property (including the portion of Nita Court) into four parcels. The City has no need for the street right of way; therefore it is recommended that the resolution of intention be adopted which would call a public hearing. A transparency is available for Council viewing. ATTACHED Resolution [X ] Ordinance [ ] Agreement [ ] Plat [X?~ See EXHIBITS [XX] Noo 1,2 Financial Statement: N.A.
