Home My WebLink AboutReso 1971-6184Form No~ 370 Rev 9-67 RESOLUTION N0. 6184 RESOLUTION OF 'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ELECTING TO PROCEED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE STREET VACATION ACT OF 1941, DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA TO VACATE A PORTION OF HALE STREET WEST OF FLOYD AVENUE AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING THEREON The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista has determined that the public interest and convenience of said City re- quire the vacation of Hale Street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is the intention of the City Council to order the vacation of a portion of Hale Street from the easterly I-805 Freeway right of way to Floyd Avenue, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, the same as though fully set forth herein. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Chula Vista hereby elects to proceed in making said vacation under the pro- visions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941, and hereby fixes Tuesday , the 5th day of October 1971 , in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center, 276 Guava Avenue, Chula Vista, California, as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the pro- posed vacations BE IT FUR'T'HER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby directed to cause a copy of this resol- ution to be published once in the Chula Vista Star News, a newspaper of general circulation published within the City of Chula Vista, and to cause notices of the passage of this resolution to be posted in the manner and form required by law. R. Crusilla and Mario Guzman for a vacation of the portion of Hale Street right-of-way west of Floyd Avenue. The Commission determined that the right-of-way is not necessary for public purposes, and recommends the vacation of Hale Street from Floyd Avenue to the Interstate 805 right-of-way line, subject to the following conditions: The existing curb, sidewalk and pavement within the area to be vacated shall be removed. The existing 8" sewer main lying westerly of the manhole in the intersection of Hale Street and Floyd Avenue shall be plugged and the manhole cover adjusted to the new grade. New curb, sidewalk, drive to Lot 137, and pavement as necessary, shall be constructed to the realignment of the right-of-way.
