RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE
RELATING TO PARKLAND ACQUISITION FEES AND
PARKLAND DEVELOPMENT FEES FOR NEIGHBORHOOD
PARK AND COMMUNITY PARK FACILITIES
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, at a budget meeting for FY 1986-87, the City
Council requested staff to review the existing City ordinance on
parkland acquisition and development (PAD) fees and consider
increasing these fees to reflect current costs, and
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the current fees, as defined
in the City's Master Fee Schedule, and recomends the fees set
forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference as if set forth in full.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista does hereby amend the Park Development
Fees and Park Acquisition Fees in the Master Fee Schedule as set
forth in Exhibit "A".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said fees shall take effect
sixty (60) days after the second reading of the ordinance
amending Chapter 17.10 of the Municipal Code relating to
Parklands and Public Facilities.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff is hereby directed to
deelop park fees for industrial and commercial developments for
Council consideration.

proposed in new ordinance (see Attachment F)

Attached: Increase from $125/du to $695/du.
Duplex: Increase from $100/du to $615/du.
Multi-family: Increase from $85/du to $545/du.
Mobilehome: Increase from $75/du to $405/du.
Residential and transient motel/hotel: Increase from $O/du to $370/du.
Cost figures listed above cover the development of neighborhood parks
only. To date, no fee has been assessed against developers for the
development cost of community park facilities. Listed below are the
proposed park development fees for community park facilities. See
Attachment G for a breakdown of the proposed figures.
