RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA ELECTING TO PROCEED UNDER SECTION 19.2402 OF
THE CHULA VISTA CITY CODE DECLARING THE INTENTION
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA TO
IMPOSE RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE MOVEMENT
OF VEHICLES AS CONTAINED IN THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE
CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND THE CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE
ON PRIVATE STREETS AND PARKING AREAS LOCATED IN THAT
CERTAIN SUBDIVISION KNOWN AS EL RANCHO DEL REY, UNIT
NO. 2
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista has
been requested by the subdivider of the subdivision known as El
Rancho del Rey, Unit No. 2, to impose rules and regulations governing
the movement of vehicles as contained in the Traffic Code of the
City of Chula Vista and the California Vehicle Code upon said streets
and parking areas of said subdivision pursuant to the provisions of
Section 19.2402.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is the intention of
the City Council of the City of Chula Vista to impose rules and regu-
lations governing the movement of vehicles as contained in the Traffic
Code of the City of Chula Vista and the California Vehicle Code upon
the streets and parking areas in that certain subdivision known as
E1 Rancho del Rey, Unit No. 2, more particularly described as follows:
Being a subdivision of a portion of the Northwest
Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Quarter Section 17
and the Northeast Quarter of Quarter Section 36 in
Rancho de la Nacion in the City of Chula Vista, County
of San Diego, State of California, according to Map
thereof No. 166 by Morrill filed in the office of the
County Recorder of said San Diego County, containing
22.228 acres and 180 lots.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Chula Vista hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Section
19.402 in imposing said rules and regulations and hereby fixed the
hour of 7:00 p.m., the 18th day of July, 1972, in the Council Chambers
of the City Hall, 276 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista, California, as the
time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting
to establishing such rules and regulations.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Chula Vista be, and she is hereby authorized and directed to cause
a copy of this resolution to be published once in the Chula Vista
Star News, a newspaper of general circulation published within the
City of Chula Vista.

_ Declaring City's intention to hold public hearing on
Item Title: Resolution Imposing Rules and Regulations Governing Movement
of Vehicles on Private Streets and Parking Areas
in E1 Rancho Del Rey Subdivision, Unit No. 2

Attached is a copy of Resolution [X] Ordinance [ ] Agreement [ ] Plat [ ]
Background:
El Rancho Del Rey Unit No. 2 is to be served by several private
roads connected to a City street, "H" Street, which is the means
of ingress and egress for the residents. The developer has
requested that rules and regulations contained in the Traffic
Code of the City of Chula Vista and the California Vehicle
Code be imposed on the private roads and parking areas within
the roadway system in this subdivision to permit policing of
the private streets by the Police Department.
By approval of this resolution, the public hearing on this
matter will be set for July 18, 1972.
