HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1987-13023 RESOLUTION NO. 13023 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ELECTING TO RECEIVE THE ALLOCATION OF TAXES PURSUANT TO SECTION 33676 OF THE CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE WHEREAS, Section 33676 of the Community Redevelopment Law (Sections 33000 et. seq. of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California) provides that any affected taxing agency, such as the City, may elect to be allocated, in addition to that portion of taxes allocated to the City pursuant to subdivision (a) of Section 33670 of said Law, all or any portion of the tax revenues allocated to a Redevelopmerit Agency pursuant to subdivision (b) of said Section 33670 attributable to increases in the City's tax rate imposed for the benefit of the City which levy occurs subsequent to the tax year in which the ordinance adopting the Amended Town Centre II Redevelopment Plan becomes effective. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Chula Vista hereby elects to be allocated in addition to the portion of taxes allocated to this City pursuant to subdivision (a) of Section 33670 of the Community Redevelopment Law (Section 33000 et. seq. of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California), all of the tax revenues allocated from the Town Centre II Redevelopment Project Area pursuant to subdivision (b) of said Section 33670 attributable to any increases in this City's tax rates which occur after the tax year in which the ordinance adopting the Amended Redevelopment Plan for the Town Centre II Redevelopment Project of the City of Chula Vista becomes effective. Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Chula Vista is hereby directed to file forthwith certified copies of this resolution with the governing body of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Chula Vista, the Auditor-Controller and the Tax Collector for the County of San Diego, State of California.
