CHULA VISTA CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF February 13, 1973
Item Title: Resolution - Accepting bids and awarding contract for two (2)
trucks.
Initiated by: Purchasing Agent
Attached is a copy of Resolution [X] Ordinance [ ] Agreement [ ] Plat [ ]
Background:
Bids were received and opened at 2:00 P.M. on the 9th day of January, 1973, in the office
of the Purchasing Agent for the purchase of two (2) 14,000 GUW cab and chassis trucks.
Bids were requested with installation of an LPG system as an alternate bid.
Six vendors were mailed proposal forms. The low bid, including sales tax, is as follows:

The two trucks are in the 1972-73 budget under the following accounts:

The Public Works Department recommends the trucks with the LPG system. Funds are
available within the department to cover the additional cost against Account #O1-3130-5565.
It is therefore recommended that the contract be awarded to International Harvester
Company for the two (2) trucks, including the LPG system.
